Is this a good deal on a gen?

I'm having trouble finding used watch values so I would really appreciate some opinions on a used watch. I found a gen 2000 Breitling Superocean, black dial with all the paperwork, service history records, condition of about 9 out of 10 and just serviced and polished for $850. Does this seem like a good deal or just average?

I was in the same exact situation as you when I bought my gen Breitling. Everyone said: yeah buy it, buy it!!

I bought and then I show it off here and on TZ...then.....I went to sell it and most everyone said this:
well it's OK....it's kinda small and it is just a watch with a modified ETA...hmm...i'll pass...

So, moral of the story: is it ever so hard knowing which compliment to believe and which one to ignore?? :roll:
