Is this a genuine Venus 175?

Technically speaking they are all genuine. Sea-Gull bought the rights, blueprints and the production line from Venus, made a few improvements and renamed it the ST-19. However, for that to be a Swiss made 175 it would need to be quite old as the sale went thru in 1961.

It's a 1965 Breitling 808 Chronomat. Stainless, not white gold :\

I'd rather get the gen 1s with the beaded bezel (instead of serrated), but alas... those are impossible to find.
