Is this a GEN?

Hi, I've been following an auction for a Seamaster 2226.80.00 the last few days.

Just wanna ask for your expert opinion on whether it is actually a gen before I make any bids. What do you guys think? Is it a good model? Not too old? Whats a good price?

Looks like Gen midsize. Worth around $850-$1000. Automatic, second hand looks like its fading a bit but in good shape still. Maybe 7-10 Years old?

Could it be that old? I thought 2226.80.00 was released around 2006. At the moment the is already sitting around $900, I'm expecting it to shoot up to $1500 by the end of the auction.

Worth it?

I'm totally guessing the age.

You can pick up auto seamasters in great shape on the bay for $1100. Full size. I wouldn't spend more than $900 on this one...

I've bought 2 full size autos for $900 in the last 8 months on eBay. One with the blue bezel and another with the polished chrome...

I would suggest you browse Timezone and buy from a established seller-$800 -$1000 is about right.
