Was a trick question - This is actually my new VRF Franken lite.

- VRF gold wrapped

- Gen 18k insert

- Blackhole crystal (previous owner)

- Swiss ETA (previous owner)

- Swapped datewheel (previous owner)

VRF feels great on wrist, feels heavy and bracelet feels gen like. I'm going to change the crystal to gen as I feel like the blackhole crystal doesn't sit high enough on this watch - I might also change the dw to another rep dw even though this is supposed to have gen like print.

When I changed the insert I noticed that the rep bezel is NOT gen like construction underneath. There is no hyrtel ring and there is only a weird SS ring under the gold wrap - looks fine when mounted though. I should have taken a photo. It does take gen insert though with no modding required.

For those wondering about gen insert vs rep here are some photos. Rep VRF insert is darker and numerals are thinner. doesn't look that noticeable on wrist given all the gold bling around it but side by side it is noticeable. I thought it looked acceptable when I first got the watch with the rep insert.

I'm really happy with this. Fraction of price of my other Frankens and looks great. By comparison I'm building an 116618LB Blue dial Franken and it is a bloody nightmare.

VRF feels solid and hefty, Gold colour is great in person, SEL is tight and I was able to use a spare gen insert that was just sitting in the safe not being used.

The hands are the only thing that bother me (in pics)....maybe also the hour markers.

Wish the Chinese could do what TCKH LV managed to to. I just can’t get over how good KH markers were....almost too good to be true

What's wrong with the hour markers? I had it side by side with one of my gen black dials and other than the markers looking a tiny bit brighter white on gen dial it looked pretty close.

Rep Rolex dials have squared off (pointy) corners on the hour markers at 12, 6, and 9 (also 3 on a no date). Gen dials hour markers have rounded corners.

How can the bracelet feel gen? I've held heaps and heaps of rep gold bracelets none of them come close to gen feeling.

VRF uses BPs wrapped gold that’s why the color is very good. I’m sure the watch feels great on the wrist but there no way it feels gen. like solid gold! My guess would be this watch weighs between 150-155 grams compared to the gen which is around 220g.

The only rep gold bracelet that feels gen like is the TW-Best Day Date and that’s because it’s a 18238 which didn’t have solid gold links yet.

Bracelet feels gen not from weight (though it is hefty) but because the links don't seem to flop around when off wrist. They seem to be tighter together (but not stiff). I own another BP wrapped sub and GMT wrapped, I also own a both a gen Two tone sub and GMT bracelet and this feels closer to the gen bracelets in terms of movement of the links and the way the links are assembled together. To me gen bracelets feel tight and solidly constructed - this feels like that, a bit like the ARF Daytona bracelets.

I was so sure this is gen until I read the op’s comments. that gold color is really looks good. The Rehaut is also nicely aligned. I should study more about 6-digits rolex.

Thats great looking. I am a deal breaker with clasps & that looks very well put together. I believe a prominent modder here on the forum stated that the plating is pretty solid for a very gentle light brush without deteriorating the wrap job.

Nothing wrong with them man....just standard rep makers (with pointy corners).

Hands are the biggest give away to my eyes. I don’t notice CG, SEL, fonts etc etc....i always look at the hands when checking authenticity.
