There are GEN Rolex Daytona cases floating around? Perhaps from people who took a GEN Rolex Daytona and used the movement for their rep built?

Think about it for a second. When was the last time you saw a genuine Ferrari body without an engine for sale, a case where somebody bought a Ferrari and then took out the engine to put in his replica or hot rod and then wanted to dump the Ferrari body . . .

Case engraving is unlike any gen rolex I've ever seen. It's just... awful and incorrect to say the least. Also, no serial number at the 6 PM lug position would suggest this case would have an engraved rehaut... Rehaut here is bare, however. 100% positive this is a rep case entirely... and a cheap one at that. RUN!!!!

Happens more often than you'd think, although your logic isn't entirely wrong. Stolen watches are often stripped... The 116520 has been around for over 2 decades now. You'd bet your last dollar that many have been nicked, stripped, and sold off in that time.

The piece in question, however.... Just a cheap rep

$0.02 ~
