Lighting and reflection in some of the pics make it look a little hanky but If you blow them up, everything looks as it should. Enhancing the first pic you posted and blowing up to 400% shows an accurate SN / MM screw. Everything's in alignment, bevel on gears in correct, OPF in correct position... It is gen.

You can usually find a used 380 cheaper than a first edition 183; I'd expect 3k - 3.5k. I personally prefer the op logo dial of the 380. 380 is closed cb and sausage dial vs open cb and sandwich dial... Given the closeness in price, I'd go for whichever you prefer. If I had to guess, I'd say you are going to take a loss on a new 380, less of a loss on a used and you may see an increase at some point on a G-series 183, simply because it is a first edition...
