I have a rolex explorer ii 216570 rep that ive had for a few years. I dont remember where i bought it or what kind of movement thay said was in it. Is this a 2836?

You can't identify a 2824 from a 2836 with that angle. They are essentially the same movement. A 2836 has an extra day indicator.

Need to see the dial side of the movement.
2836 has a quick change date mechanism. Also capability of day and date mechanism.

if you 216570 has gmt hand and ICHS handstack, then it is 99% likely a 2836-2 movement with modified GMT function
