Is there any black sandwich dial with a cirrect caseback, as I undestand it the only chance of being correct is if it is a closed one, am I right?

Preferably a base a PAM. Been looking a lot but can't seem to answer, any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks guys

111H and Fiddy have correct caseback, and also 177 (OP 6572)

and these are all display casebacks. Rep factories usually make (it seems like) one or two popular casebacks for each type of material (TI, SS, etc.) and use them on others too.

For example, 112, 113, 114, etc all use 111H's caseback (OP 6567) & 176 uses 177's.

Hope this helps.

No prob :) Display casebacks would be easier for someone who know Panerai to call it out - due to the movement being shown - but I wouldn't neccessarily say it's easy. Plus, how many people ever saw the back of your watches? I haven't had that happen yet, unless I wanted them to check it out ;)

I do not know of any sandwich dials with closed caseback - out of the historical models.

Thanks again man! So which mods are a must for Panerais?

What do you recomend to by from Davidsen or to mod myself (if it is easy) which one is cheaper, and which one will have a better end result?

Thanks

Did you check out this post?

If you want a sandwich dial Base Pam, above link has a good review on it on 112 from DSN.

If you want a sausage dial Pam, I would say get a generic dial pam and get it modded.

Above is a link to my 176G review for some suggestions. I would though get a Pam 1B from Joshua or Ruby (make sure to get a POLISHED CG and CLOSED CASEBACK (OP 6518), and get it modded. (This is my next project, BTW).

From Joshua, 1B is $259 I believe + shipping of 30 dollars. You should get Superlumed + Cannon Pin Fix & try to get the crown replaced (either PALP or DSN's) -

It'll probably be cheaper to buy directly from DSN (it comes modded as you know), but for some models (mostly sausage dial Pams), getting them modded yourself gives you a better result (but with more $$ ^^).

There is no absolute answer - and also, it has to do with what your preference is. Good luck with your purchase and let me know if you have any further questions - I will try to help out as much as I can :)

I don't do the mods myself, so it's more of a question for Vaccum, Flavorflav, Ziggy, etc.

If you haven't done it before, I do not recommend doing it yourself :)

seems like exactly what I need. I want an accurate one which means closed caseback. I would like a polished CG though and I dont like the 005 logo on it because it points to the wrong letter :)

What exactly is the one B, and is it possible with mods to get the font color correct?
