Been researching for awhile as I want an VSF Pam and have heard how they are mostly all too thick. The 1393 is the closest to gen in the under 44mm options I’ve been able to find so far. I’m seeing that the vsf is about 1.1mm thicker than gen. Are there any that are true to gen thickness ? Preferably 42 mm and under. Thanks.

Haa. No I just have heard that some of them are real chunky and noticeably too thick. Specifically the 40mm versions
40mm is pretty chunky and in my opinion I would avoid since the real one is like 11mm not 13mm.
The submersibles 42mm/44mm are fine you will barely notice the thickness on wrist, I mean, Panerai is thick and chunky lol
The P900 movement is thicker than P9000
Despite all this I would suggest not worrying about it. If you like it buy it. Replicas are all about what you can tolerate.
On the opposite. p9000 ist 3,7m thicker than the p900. 7,9 vs 4,2 mm
Thus most 42mm Pams are thicker than gen by about 2mm. The factories are able to shave 2,5 mm with thiner casebacks etc, but the 42mm from VSF is thicker than gen.
