Hello guys. I have a BB One rep on the way from Ryan and I was just looking through the qc pics again and out of boredom I decided to google the BB One just to see how close it is to the real thing when I noticed something. I saw two pictures of the real thing from 2 different websites and realized that there are some differences on the 2 pictures of supposedly the only one of it's kind. You can see on one picture that the "U" on the "TUDOR" and the first "E" on the "GENEVE" almost look like it flaking off of the dial while on the other picture they were perfect. Could it be that the one on display was a prototype or maybe a show only watch and then they made another one for the actual auction? Thoughts?

Huh. Interesting, but it looks like dust specks of something. The letters still have their depth and shape, so it doesn't look like flaking to me. Might even be on the outside of the crystal, it's hard to tell zoomed in that close. I know watches are often photographed with the crystals removed, so maybe the tiniest speck of dust got caught during photographing it for the catalog, etc.

That being said I wouldn't be surprised at all if they made a prototype or even multiple prototypes during the design phase, but I'm almost positive the same watch is used in the catalog and publicity materials/photo shoots, etc. as the actual sale. Seems like there'd major problems otherwise. And certainly that's the only one out in the "wild" (besides the reps of course!)

More like in "captivity". Haha. With a pricetag like that, it's probably in a safety deposit box 50 ft below the ground or something. Anyway here's another shot of the "flaked" one. Could be the camera itself but it looks like the "SHOCK-RESISTING" text is bolder compared to the other one.
