I want to buy a PO 42mm v5 and I have a question to you guys - do I need to waterproof it? I won't dive with it etc just regular swimming.

I need to know if is it safe to swim in pool or sea.

Or I need to waterproof it somehow?

Yes, testing is indispensable. Too many possible leaks, as caseback, tube/crown and crystal fitting.

With the known bad problem with the poor crown and tubes on the v5, I wouldn't trust it.

Far better to get it waterproofed by a watchsmith like Wiz. Worth it for peace of mind :)

I think he charges around 35 or 40 euros for waterproofing.
Lume depends on watch. About 85 to 120 euros if I recall correctly.

GREAT guy!!
Have fun modding

If it's done while he is doing a lume or other job, I believe it is less, as the watch is already in bits.

If you haven't had your watch WATER TESTED, a line from "Dirty Harry" is rather appropriate....."Do you feel lucky?" .... some you win, some you lose.... do you feel lucky?  :unsure2: :wideeyed: :screwed: :err: :skeptical: :nah:

I´ve greased tube, crown and caseback..

Went to my watchsmith and now it´s pressuretested to 10atm ;)

Go to a watchsmith before you dive your pool
