Is my money gone?

Hi there,

It's my first time ordering a rep. Made my order with PT about 3 weeks ago, on which I was provided transfer details. I sent it to the account name provided, however turns out I was meant to send it to the beneficiary name that was on the same email.

I asked for clarification on which name to use before transfer, but frustratingly was just told that the details were on the last email, so took a 50/50.

In the situation now, where PT don't have my money, they have said they have sent the refund over, but it's been several weeks now, and there is no word. Which I don't understand if they had the money to refund in the first place, why could they not accept the funds, as the SWIFT was correct.

I have seen this on the forum before with several others, one of them seems to have got it resolved and others don't really follow up. Could someone share with me if they have had this and what can really be done to get this resolved?

Thanks

As you joined after you placed the order there’s not much anyone here can do to help, other than offer advice.
I would check the TD section and be tripple sure the details you used to communicate and order, match exactly the details the TD lists here. If they don’t, you got scammed by someone pretending to be PT.

What exact email address have you been communicating with?

And what website did you use?

As suggested, it could be that you are communicating with a fake website.

I am sorry for this but you filled in the bank name as reciever's name. We are not able to collect your money since bank said reciever's name is incorrect but they did rejected and refunded the payment back. You should recieve it eventually but it may takes time. Please keep tracking it with your bank. Thank you

It's definitely the correct PT I've used! Got the link from these forums before I had an account

Then as PT have said, the money was rejected/refunded and is now likely in limbo.

May take some time to bounce back, but I don't think it's gone, just need to wait for the banks.

My advice, for what it's worth, would be to give it a week or two, and if not back in your account, then contact your bank to do a trace. The TD can do no more.

You have the details where you sent it, they may/should be able to contact the recipient bank, confirm that it bounced, and then hopefully confirm the timeline for receiving it back.

Best of luck, frustrating, but nada ya can do now but wait.

If the transfer details were incorrect, you should get your money back. I haven't had this particular situation happen, but I did have a purchase where the TD had to close the account and my transfer did not go through. It definitely took at least 24 hours for the refund to show up as cleared, after which I just did a new transfer to the new account.

sorry who are?
should be back within a week, don’t expect the full amount to be reimbursed as you will incurr fees from the recipient and correspondent bank for the payment to be returned
