I would rather invest extra money in another watch or good custom made strap. 2836/2824 clones are workhorses. In most cases you won't have any problems with them for a long time.

Don't know for V2 though.

Probably still has asian parts added for GMT function. Get the clone.

It's odd that you ask because I have only recently received a lovely new 029M Noob V2 and it's got the first problem with a rep movement I have ever had actually experienced. The whole GMT side of things seems may be the issue but I am no expert on these things.

The odd thing is that the Date Wheel font is also getting scratched off as it moves round!? I have never seen this before. Luckily, I can send the watch back cheap to China and get it sorted but it will need a new datewheel, the hands will need resetting and the movement serviced / fixed to sort the problem of various functions keep getting stuck. I was going to enquire with the TD if they can offer the upgrade to SW240 movement exchange instead as I though it may actually help. I see that more than a few that come up for sale seem to have this movement in. I really want them to fix it and, in my case, having a movement swap may well be the best way to ensure that none of the problems remain after the long trip..

Hmmmm.
