Is it worth it buying rep Breitling Avenger GMT if I am planning to get the gen in some months?

I am a bit conflicted when it comes to ordering a rep Breitling Avenger GMT. It's one of my favorite watches and I am planning of getting the gen in 6-12 months from now.

On one hand, I would really like to buy the rep to see if I would truly like the gen as much as I am thinking (test drive the watch).

On the other hand, I am thinking that maybe these 300 dollars can go in the gen fund in order for me to buy it quicker.

PSA: That would be my first rep, so I don't fully know what to expect either. Thoughts?

I think that if you buy the rep (gf), you will be amazed by the quality and never come to buy the gen.

I agree with TBK . Both the older and newer 43mm models are great quality. I have the 45mm gmt and it's def great quality.

Just buy the rep and get the feel for it. When you get the gen, if you get the gen, you can easily recoup most of what you paid for the rep anyway right here in the sales section. You can also do a side by side comparison, with the 2, which I did here with a Tudor to add some interesting comparative information for the interested members within.

Great choice.
But as mentioned before by copterguy, if you get the gen, a side by side review would be highly appreciated by the forum members
