Is the dial font on the 112/219 all off. I started looking more at the gen photos and it just seems too white and not as bold. Having replaced the 111m dial with the 111j dial which is correct I just feel the 112/219 arent just up to par anymore. Anyone else feel this way?

I'm with you on that one , the new 111 seems to have the correct colour. But most of the other H series and onwards have always seemed too white to me. Though I'm sure I've seen so good base dials somewhere but it may have been a LH.
It's not just you haha, your absolutely right it's a tad too white under close inspection and marginally thinner than the gen one!

all text from the h factory are bad. i built a 112 with an h dial and its killing me. i used to have a dsn dial but i sold it long a go when i got out of pam's the first time around. even with its bad font and spacing, it still killed these h 112/219 dials. i'm tempted to get an LH dial. besides the cost, at least i'll be able to look at it without wanting to throw it at the wall. the 111j top plate is so much better than any of the current offerings its silly. the text color, boldness is way more gen.
