Intro & First Rep Purchase Experience

Howdy, I've been clumsily milling through material around horology for 2 years.....first introduced to the idea of Reps through r/Reptime - really cool place where I learned a bit about a lot.

I've been hobby jumping since University (now older) and usually circle back as interest(s)ebbs and wanes. First it was bikes and building custom rides - refurbishing early 80s Treks, then came electric Skateboards- building and riding, next was audio- headphones amps and speakers galore- add a sprinkling of tech -3d printers laser cutters and CNC. My most recent interest has been mid tier watches. Current case includes Seiko Speedtimer, Christopher Ward 63 GMT's, Hamilton Field, 2x custom laser cut pieces - one with elabore grade eta6497, 2 gshocks, and 2x Kickstarters RDX Courg and Valor.

That is to say I like to tinker with stuff. When I get into a thing I dive headfirst. Via my reddit experience/reading I have ordered my first set of "dream" pieces.

They include:
1. Omega Aqua Terra 41 Blue SS Master- VSF
2. Patek Philippe 3KF 5168 Aquanaut V2
3. Daytona 116500 40mm white Clean

I ordered these just prior to exploring this marvelous forum and getting myself into even deeper down the rabbit hole. Excited to find cool new stuff and really glad this community exists. Just got my QC photos from TD. Super stoked

Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.

If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.

For anything else, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or me, we're happy to assist, advise, direct, explain. Don't hesitate.
