hi guys

A year ago I bought a PAM056 "destro" from the H-factory.

It was fabulous, but i wanted to put this watch into the sea for swimming.

For this reason i have unscrew the CG's screws and i opened the caseback, to put on all gasket the silicone grease.

When i made this i am about to reassemble the GC and tighten the screws.

But at this moment i realize that both the screws to the CG's spin freely, without screwed into the case.

I then remove the screws, and check the thread is present.

Then check the thread of the case and surprise: the thread in the case is non-existent, or almost totally absent. The thread surface is flat, but you can see the slight processing machinery to create the fillet.

I was in total panic because this watch is unusable with a major problem that invalidated the entire use.

I check the screws and these are full of blue thread locker!

I think when i remove the scrwes initially they were wearing the blue threadlocker and the thread of the case has been removed at this moment. In addition, the thread lock on titanium can create oxidation and ruining the material.

I would like to buy again a titanium PAM from H-factory, but after this bad experience i'm afraid to buy a Titanium PAM from this factory.

Any of you guys ever had a similar bad experience? Do you know if the H-factory uses on all its titanium watches the blue thread locker?

This was the video of last year's result ...

I've had the PAM056 before and prior to selling it, I re-tightened the screws on the CG to make sure they were as snug as possible in the screw hole. I did not have this problem. I would make a guess that there was a mid case that had an issue with the initial holes that even after tapping to create the thread, there was too much material removed to allow for the correct thread to materialize. The person who assembled the watch had the bright idea of using an excess amount of weak thread locker to fill in the hole and remake the thread. I think that your unfortunate instance was a one-off kind of deal and you would certainly won't be so unlucky as to get the issue repeated.

Buy your next H-fac Titanium rep with confidence.

So in your opinion the case was already ruined initially and who has assembled the watch, to sell it in any case , put the thread locker on the thread of the case to sell it anyway? this is not correct on their part.....
However, have you removed the screws from the case and then rescrew it on the case? they had no strength Loctite? if so I will take another titanium pam from them :)

Anyway many thanks for help me! :)

I have disassembled a couple of titanium H FAC case sets (and a few more SS ones) and never experienced such issue. I think you were just unlucky with that watch.
