Hi , got a rep Tag a few months back from just as a test on quallity from aliexp.. happy enought with it for what i paid but it did have a crappy strap (as expected) and the finish was not as glossy as I had hoped..Anyway, came accross another strap that looked great on it so i was hoping to buff out the small lines on the finish.. anyway I can do this as a diy project.. thanks, sorry for the long txt..Gar

sand paper but it aint for the faint of heart... anything expensive I send out for a professional... Anything for a few hundred I will tackle myself.

I would not touch it touch it, it looks like a brushed finish only on the upper part of the lugs.

In order to use sand paper, first you have to remove the bezel to prevent damaging it.
Besides you will most likely rub off the gold plating, you need to go through various degrees of sanding paper to remove that, and each round removes a bit of plating...
Imho it's very difficult to say the least to achieve a good result.

I'd take apart the whole watch... I look for $10-20 watch cases to practice on.

Don't! You WILL eat through the thin gold plating, and it will look much much worse
