In my opinion buying rep for formula 1 is not really efficient. The price of the rep is almost the same when you buy other quality watch (eg pam 111, or rolex explorer 2, etc). while the gen of formula 1 is cheap compare to other watch. my opinion is get tag heuer formula 1 GEN (2nd hand is recommended, because tag drop their price after use). Make sure its gen.

The first one is replicated fairly accurately but there are no reps of the second blacked out F1 that I have found. I disagree with the poster who said to purchase the gen version because they are inexpensive in the used market. An accurate rep can be found for $150 or less and being that it is quartz it could last years. $150 for one of the most accurate watches reped is a pretty good deal.

Take those photos and email them to various dealers on this board and ask if they have a rep in comparison. They will almost always respond wit a photo of the rep or an alternative.

You will find some undetectable reps of the F1 and some really crappy F1s. Let us know how your search goes. I recently purchased a Gen F1 and held the blacked out F1. It was a little more that I wanted to spend so I just purchased a black
dial non-chronograph one instead. The blacked out one is one sweet watch.
