Im Having Trouble with 6497 and 47mm rad Case-doesnt fit. to thick???

so im putting a pam 149 homage together with some parts i have. but i put an a6497 in the case. it had no dial in it yet. i was just checking to see how long to cut the stem. and when i put the stem in, i noticed that it was goin in the hold wasnt straight. then once it was fully in the movement would slip out the other side of the case.

so i just then layed the dial on the movement and layed it into the case. and it stickes up a few mm's. and now the stem doesnt even come close to hitting the hole in the movement.

whats up with this?

any advice would be great.

ill try to get some pics together tomorrow.

Shouldn't there me a movement holder ring?

I can't see what a pam 149 is, but I also can't see a reason why a 6497 wouldn't fit a pam case.

movement ring! i didnt know it was in there. im an idiot (please dont laugh, i was really tired last night). this is my first time handling a large 47mm case as well.

well i slapped some parts together and heres what i ended up with

pics are not the best and my cat wouldnt stay the hell out of the way. she was playing with the watch strap.

also here is a new seiko i picked up here on rwi for 50$.
theres a big size difference

thank. yeah i like the dome crystal and the buckle is the standard strap culture buckle. its huge. i dont really care for it.
