Can you ignore post so they will not come up when I click New Post, many ongoing post I would like not to show up.

Perhaps this is what you mean:

When you post in someone else’s thread (or create an entirely new thread), you're automatically subscribed to receive notifications for all future replies.

However, it sounds like you no longer want to be notified about those follow-up posts. Is that the issue?

If so, it’s not related to the “ignore” function. Instead, it has to do with a feature called “watch.” You can stop receiving updates by clicking the "Unwatch" button at the top of the thread. This will disable notifications for new replies.

Thanks for trying to help in case I was mislabeling what I was referring to. This is an actual ignore a forum section or thread. It probably did not come with the set of tools with the forum, the owner probably had to add the option or purchase the option for the forum. It has become popular among the members of forums that have this as you can ignore many threads that one has no interest in.

As seen above one thread has 123 responses, I have no interest in that thread, look to the right and I can ignore it, same with a forum section on the next pic, on the Bottom Right, I can ignore this forum section.

One of the Admins would have to see about adding this option.

Unwatch only means that you don't get notified of new post alerts on a thread that you participated in. You cannot control what you see in the "New Posts" feed.

I think @daytona4me is right, OP wants to see only the threads that interest him in the "new posts" list and have the ability to mark those he doesn't want to see in future
