If you were buying your first Panerai

Hello, I am new to the forum. I have been reading it for a few months but have never posted. I am wanting to buy a replica panerai but must be a little thick because I am finding it a bit confusing.

If you had a budget of about $300 and could buy only 1 panerai which would it be?

I keep coming across terms like DSN, CG pins, Superlume, Hublot Factory. I am assuming some factories produce better replicas as you would expect but if I was to buy from one of the websites of the trusted dealers how will I know which factory they are from etc?

I am reading good things about a 111J and I like the look of it with the stainless steel strap but who should I buy it from to ensure it is a good replica? Will all 111Js with the stainless steel strap be the same quality? Some sites claim the strap is 316L steel but others don't.

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Most rep panerai's ( you mention the 111J ) come on rubber or leather , not the bracelet ..
For $300,- you can choose any of the new Pam's, they are pretty accurate ...

Though the 005 ( 318 ) / 177 are sold out
111J should be available @ any dealer

111J is not superlumed

I would say either one of these ...

- 005/318/177 -- If you do not prefer a chrono look
- 288 -- If you like the chrono look
