Hi mates,

I just opened my 15 years old very first (cheap) rep. I watched various tutorials, but I can’t remove the crown/stem to get the movement out of the case. No screw, no pusher?

Can anyone help?

Any idea what kind of movement this might be?

Hi mate,

I have a very similar movement I am working on at the moment. They definitely seem related

There is no button/lever to take the stem out. I could not figure out how to do it so I removed rotor and the gear train bridge to access the keyless. Now the movement is out but it’s construction is not common.

Would be great if some of the experienced guys could have a look at this thread

A mate from RepGeek helped me out: you have to push here (in my case quite sharply) while pulling out the crown.

I had tried that being the only lever I could see... but it didn’t really worked. Good to know it is that lever, thanks!

Could you easily put back the stem? Did you serviced the all movement?

I had to push really hard! I already tried it before, but pushing gently didn’t work. As it’s a very old cheap rep I just I had not much to loose when pressing that hard and voila.... the Crown came out.

I did no service, I just wanted to clean the crystal as there was a lot of dust. After that I could put the movement back into the case easily and also the crown snapped in easily again :)

On mine the power reserve doesn’t work anymore so i had to dismantle it. To call it dirty is an understatement! But amazingly it was still working strong.

Now it appears to be quite a challenge to put back together....

Will do pics if I succeed lol

Swiss_goupil hey mate. Did you get that 2c30 movement? How did you find it? I have a low rotation, messed up big pilot and figure that it would be easier to swap out the movement. The rep movement is $200. This would be better but can’t find any info on hand size etc.

For me it was a swap ‘like for like’ as that movement was in my IWC power reserve already. I tried to serviced the original movement as the PR wasn’t working but when putting the parts back together I slightly bent one of the pignon wheels while assembling the train bridge and I was f**k. So bought a new movement. I paid £30 ($40). Unfortunately I have no idea about hand size but why don’t you message the ebay seller directly? He should be able to help you
