As some of you know, I spent $$$$ on a few Pam projects this year. I told myself, I will not be tempted on another purchase or project until well into 08.... but... :)

I saw Davidsen's Pam 10D post... and noticed that he has made D-series caseback with OP 6520, which also corresponds to Pam002D............................................. so...

here it goes -

Standard rep 112 dial,
Standard rep case with DSN's D-series caseback,
Angus' flat CG lever pin Polished CG,
DSN's Saphire crystal (D series pams have A/R coating),
with a decent engine ;) - some form of 6497, which will be hidden inside the closed caseback,
Send it to Vaccum for relume or should I say Vaclume ^^ and cannon pin mod....... maybe a decent crown mod.

another $500-600 it is... maybe more...

any thoughts?

Here is a pic of Pam 002C (you can see it's OP 6520) -

Sounds like a great project, JOE. FYI, I already asked Angus about sourcing that CG from his 111E. You'll have to buy the whole case set, he can't get just the CG separately. :(

Should be a great project, though!

Joe,
good idea, just be careful about that case set, though. It's the one that comes with deep rehaut that fits only a thin rep dial, like Angu's 111E and Ruby's 036 for example. Without some re-work and a lot of nerves the simple standard rep dial drop-in will not be possible. Trust me on this one, been there myself.

Vacuum could possibly do this for you, but better check with him, just mention to him he has to "deal" with 'Ruby" type 44mm case :)

BTW, just received DSN's D-series Base caseback to swap it on my PAM10, not bad at all, it's slightly thinner than standard closed S/S caseback, but those OP6520 & D0021/1200 markings definitely make up for it :)

cheers,
babola

Thanks guys for the input.

I was hoping Angus would sell the CG separately... hmm... well regular CG would do... just need to somehow chop off the domed part of the Lever Pin top

@ Babola - how does the engraving on the caseback look on the 6520? From DSN's pics, it looked a bit off... What's your opinion?

It's actually much better in person...DSN's pics never did his products a justice :)
