I'd pay $50 per year to the forum on top of my membership....

....for a monthly feature called "What's in ALE's Watchbox".

Personally, I'd love to know what he considers must buys as well as longer term evaluations on his personal collection. I would also love to know about his strap and accessories!

I'm a huge fan of his work and would love if the forum would cut him a % on an arrangement like this.

Thoughts?

I think we need a mod /Admin eye candy thread.

Not that I don't believe you, but you've been here since 2011 and you're still not VIP, so you're going to add another 50$ to the "membership fee" you have not managed to cough up after 5 years?

Joking aside, as much as ALE values how important you think his collection is, I would think he is too humble of a man to show his personal collection. But I'd like to hear what ALE7575 thinks of the idea (to share the collection, not to charge members an additional fee. You could put that as a Supporter special feature, like a perk.) ;)

Not sure what you're talking about, but I've paid on this forum (and others) on and off for quite some time. Glad to discuss and address any confusion in PMs, as I still see VIP on my profile in Tapatalk... I'm getting old so I might be missing something, but dropping off a steamer in a friendly thread wasn't necessary.

Back on topic, I think that a peek behind the curtain of what the experts see as worth hanging onto would be very cool. These guys have forgotten more about reps (and some gens) than many of us will ever know.

I think is a great idea, however I have a feeling TB99 is focused on the admin side of the forum rather than the purchase, trading, collecting.

I hope I am mistaken and we get the chance to see his private stash of Watch CANDY!

Unfortunately, Tapatalk may show you as a VIP, but it certainly doesn't reflect here in the web and that's what I saw (or didn't see) so the comment was more of tongue in cheek. (see the smiley at the end of the sentence?) ;)

Back on topic, good luck on your quest to convince whom you consider experts to share their collections. However not even @ALE7575 can possibly own all of the reps that he would wish to. That is why, it is my opinion that discussion is best suited for these topics. This is a forum after all. Everyone has an opinion, much like the saying. :D

I don't think anyone should be pressured into sharing their collection if they don't want to for whatever reason. If he wanted to he would but he hasn't even posted in the "which PAM combo" thread (which he started). That's his choice. I think it's pretty clear. Many of us do the same to varying extents.

Mate you have never had a subscription here, I just checked. Also, there has been no such thing as VIP for years, subscribers are Supporters. Please show a screen shot of Tapa

@Marv1nn I believe the confusion here is that you're confusing VIP status with the Tapatalk app with Supporting Member (formerly VIP) status here at RWI.

Tapatalk VIP means you pay an extra $0.99 a month or $5 a year to use the Tapatalk app add-free. None of that money goes to RWI however (except the normal ad revenue it would already receive).

https://blog.tapatalk.com/knowledge...re-revenue-earned-from-users-with-vip-status/

You can (and should!) become a Supporting Member here at RWI separately; @trailboss99 can assist with that.

Too many non-supporters talking about supporting

Ahh, that would be it. Nothing to do with us of course apart from reducing any ad revenue.

I think ale has addressed this before. He is specifically choosing not to share his collection as he considers it personal. If I recall that was what he said last time and that's where he still most likely stands. There are plenty of us that like to share, and plenty of others that don't.

If you are interested in hearing what ale and the rest of the PAM gurus think are the best PAM watches, go into the PAM guide and buy every super-rep that's listed :) as those are the ones with best reviews and ratings. There are dozens of them that are worthy of buying

I totally agree with you. So obvious.

I have talked sometimes with Ale and he is really kind sharing his thoughs and efforts that is enough. He has helped me kindly sometimes and when he has asked me I did the same. I am even from the same City and even I have never thought asking him such kind of things those are personal things but like someone said before this is an open forum so from time to time questions like that always are posted.
