Call me a wacko. I have been tinkering with watches for years. I own a genuine Pam 104M so I thought I would do a little experiment. I have always loved the new Pam 001Q that came out as a boutique model. The old style painted dial with a polished crown guard bridge looks awesome to me and reminds me of the old 111. So I took off the crown guard and put it on my Pam 000. I love the result! Maybe I will polish the brushed one up. Hard to find good light this morning. Excuse the poor photo skills.
But I couldn't help myself. I had a rep 104 dial that I had bought Some years ago off eBay I think. So I decided to put the genuine 104 face next to the replica one. I was pretty amazed. Just small details you can see the differences. The lume on the real one is much more refined and clean. The lume on the rep one is more yellow green color. Texture and color of the dial itself is pretty identical. Text is about the same too. Both have high gloss text. Hopefully I won't have any issues putting it back together. Good thing I've got a good watch guy on speed dial!
The genuine one is always on bottom or left
