Hi guys and happy Easter for all of you that celebrate this day. For the others, happy sunday.
I'm a the point to buy my first rep.
So, I like Panerais and I would like to get one to enjoy.
And, at the same time I would like to buy a gift for my wife that likes Panerais too.

I've been looking around for months but I really can't decide where to spend my money.
I already had very good advices from you on another post. You made me change my mind about investing on something more pricy but better made.
I need advices because I really can't decide since I don' know what's the difference in terms of quality between a noob and a 100 dollars rep.
So let's start.

I would like an advice on what to buy for my wife:
Panerai Luminor, leather strap, automatic, 40mm (she has a really small wrist), no chronograph, price no more than 120 dollars.
For me, I would like to buy something like:
Luminor, sandwich, leather strap, max 46mm, no chronograph, black dial, price between 120 and 220 dollars. (For me there should be a real difference of quality to spend 100 dollars more)

Of course I want to buy both at the same time from the same shop.
I found the pam049 on timeshop for 108 dollars for my wife. I personally like the fiddy looking but think that is to big on the wrist.
I'm asking you this because I really don't know if I would like a cheaper watch in terms of building quality.
I'm not looking at themoment for the perfet clone but for a nice looking watch that is well made enough to last for few years if I'm lucky.

I appreciate all the help that you can give me.
Thank you.

The beginner pam111 from toro would be a good option at ~$175, Or if you want to spring the extra $100, you can get the noob 111 V3 which is pretty much flawless imo.

not sure about the 40mm auto's, can't be much help so I will defer to the experts.

There are some 40mms around. PAM0048 seems to be a popular choice but they are at most mid-grade reps.

Hi friend

Your best solution is save much money and to buy better replicas. This is the best advice and you will remember it in the future.

If you don't want to do it, buy a PAM 048 for your wife. It is not a very good replica but is nice enough. I don't know if it is still available.
For you buy a beginners PAM 111 from Toro.

And now, please don't ask me if the quality of this beginner version is the same as PAM 111 V3.
NO NO NO
It is impoessible to get best quality at lower price
