I picked up a panerai 005G

Hi there, so I picked up a panerai 005G series through the cash for gold shop I help manage and after extensive research and drawing little more than a guess for a conclusion I am wondering if I may have hit the jackpot.
i know this sounds crazy but let me explain my reasoning and then all and any input good or bad is highly appreciated
first off, the watch has been pv'd to look like a 195 however I cannot find a source for 005 pvd replicas and if I do find anything close the series is an H or N
2. The long arrow dial matches milesimation and according to the threads I've read on numerous posts the long arrow is something found on 005G series for the first 100 or so of the production run and the coveted 195 paneristi.com special edition well this is G0068/1000
3.the engravings are deep and no "F" is italic in "Officine
Panerai"
4. The back is in accordance with the thickness of the gen 005G
I'm not sure of the color as I am color blind so input would be fantastic

I bought it in a lot of a box of watches that came into the we buy gold shop my fiancé and I work at ( let me put emphasis on the fact That people in the area of town I live in bring in AMAZING things all the time and a lot of time have no idea they just want money for .. Well whatever they need it for but let's say they look a bit off

That being said I bought the box of watches for 100$ Most are casio and seiko there was a solid gold 14k watch with a diamond face as well but that I payed for in gold value

Looks like a rep to me too.. I have read that there are places that will pvd watches but this is not I believe a gen that has been done rather a rep.

Just out of curiosity what makes you guys believe rep and who Pvds a rep ? Isn't that kind of pricey

Just look at quality of engraving and case guard shape, pin etc. Sorry but if the op opens the case back he will see

Just a thought but you could sell the panerai on here and recoup some of the 100 you paid and the diamonds and gold watch must be worth quite a bit? If you ebay the seiko and Casio there are people who collect even random old watches because they just appeal!!

Open up watch and let us see the movement so we can make a better decision...but everything leans towards a rep. IMO

This is a cheap 005 rep ... all the engravings are wrong, they should not be filled with paint, CG, cannon pin, shape, finishing, .... some cheap Chinese dealer offered this model some years ago. Anyway, not worth the hassle.

If it works, wear the hell out of it.
