I took the kids to the local IMAX for Madagascar 2 and as I was leaving I noticed the lever pushing into my hand,, the cg was really loose,, I knew at that moment I had lost a screw. I checked,... sure enough.. gone.. I went back and looked around... could not find it anywhere...

so... if anyone has a junked 253 or knows of a screw that would work,, I'd buy the screw off of them if needed..

this really sucks ...

Sorry to resurrect an age-old thread, but did you ever get a new screw? I'm in the same position now and struggling. I bought some from TWO on ebay but the heads are too big. Tried glasses screws and ala they're too small :(

I believe, you probably need a screw for Luminor 1950 crown guard. Luminor 44mm crown guard from my pam417 has larger screw holes than CG from 47mm 1950 case like pam372 on the picture. You can get it from eBay.
Use small amount of Loctite 243 and you will never loose a screw again.

Which particular model/factory/year did you lose the screw from? There may be some discrepancy between different years/factories specifically. Bought a replacement CG for my PAM212 from a TD (did not know where the particular watch came from as it was M2M from 2008). Unfortunately it did not fit my watch. While it was a CG and not a CG screw, it illustrates the possible difficulty you may have in sourcing a suitable replacement. Anyway, good luck in your hunt!

I just ordered some that fit my luminor case perfectly from the bay for like $8 a pair.
