So I bought the 8100 pearl for myself because I can throw it in my shorts, chino, and suit pockets with out taking up too much room. I hate a big lump of plastic hanging off my damn hip every where so it was the perfect size. That and I also am a member of the Pinstack.com blackberry forum so i have collected about 15 movies that some have already been shrunk and formatted to run on the pearl. About 3 will fit on a 1 gig card and a great way to pass time in lead shielded areas with no internet access.
After replacing 1 pearl already though, I HIGHLY reccomend going to seidio.com and buying the rubber coated case. the damn thing is bullet proof.

the dual letter key thing sucks but I have gotten pretty good with it and I now type some super short emails after switching to it.

Check out below site for the player that allows you to shrink the 300 mb files into about 60-100 mb files formatted for either 8100 or 8800 - so a movie would be able 200-250 mbs.

I actually got my wife a clear plastic case on ebay... hope this does the job. It was only 9 bucks shipped from California. I guess she may have to switch it out to a rubber one, it seems more durable.
I think I will be switching to a 8800 next week ^^ It can open PDF and Excel files, which I work with a lot at my job. I can leave my labtop at work finally

Joe, you're bay area?
WOW COOL! bahahahaha! I'm right smack here in San Fran, so i know what you mean about the saturday morning Rain. WTF!?!?!? Sunny all week and bam... rain... out of no where.
WELL sir! no problems for sunday, it's gorgeous today. So get your butt out to a beach. SF beach is not so good though just fun to kick the sand around. The water is cold and can easily swallow you up. I say SantaCruz has nicer sandy beaches.
and Fry's is great. It's a utopia of electronics! I go hit the museums today!
wrist shots monday, yar? maybe tuesday?
