I get lost in Fry's when I go there. So much stuff I want to build new computers, watch tv and play games when I leave there. Too bad about the weather but at least you still have the beach close to you.

Yep Bay Area baby :)

Beach is located about an hour south (?!) of me... and also hour north of me (SF).

I got lost in Fry's today too... they got everything... almost like a Fred Meyer... they even sell rice cookers and bottled water... and snacks ^^

I got a 2 gb SD card for wife's BB pearl. A bit harder to use than my 8700 but it's small and has a lot more features (mostly entertainment-related).

Im an 8700 person as well. Wife got the pearl and she loves it. I cant stand that two key letter feature plus my fingers are too big for it. Im eyeing the 8800 and trying to convince my boss I need to upgrade. lol

Even if I am not on call for work I am still expectedd to be accessible as 'effin tech support.

So I bought the 8100 pearl for myself because I can throw it in my shorts, chino, and suit pockets with out taking up too much room. I hate a big lump of plastic hanging off my damn hip every where so it was the perfect size. That and I also am a member of the Pinstack.com blackberry forum so i have collected about 15 movies that some have already been shrunk and formatted to run on the pearl. About 3 will fit on a 1 gig card and a great way to pass time in lead shielded areas with no internet access.

After replacing 1 pearl already though, I HIGHLY reccomend going to seidio.com and buying the rubber coated case. the damn thing is bullet proof.

the dual letter key thing sucks but I have gotten pretty good with it and I now type some super short emails after switching to it.

Check out below site for the player that allows you to shrink the 300 mb files into about 60-100 mb files formatted for either 8100 or 8800 - so a movie would be able 200-250 mbs.

I actually got my wife a clear plastic case on ebay... hope this does the job. It was only 9 bucks shipped from California. I guess she may have to switch it out to a rubber one, it seems more durable.

I think I will be switching to a 8800 next week ^^ It can open PDF and Excel files, which I work with a lot at my job. I can leave my labtop at work finally :)

I just switched from the 8700 to the 8800 last week and I am very happy I did. It integrates multiple email addresses very well - and you can do everything on the device as opposed to having to setup on a PC. I love the trackball too - very easy to use and intutive. I'm off to get a 2Gb microSD card this aft so I can put a bunch of mp3s and other stuff on it. Do they make bigger than 2Gb microSD's?

Joe, you're bay area?

WOW COOL! bahahahaha! I'm right smack here in San Fran, so i know what you mean about the saturday morning Rain. WTF!?!?!? Sunny all week and bam... rain... out of no where.

WELL sir! no problems for sunday, it's gorgeous today. So get your butt out to a beach. SF beach is not so good though :( just fun to kick the sand around. The water is cold and can easily swallow you up. I say SantaCruz has nicer sandy beaches.

and Fry's is great. It's a utopia of electronics! I go hit the museums today!

wrist shots monday, yar? maybe tuesday?

hi crick,

if you hit the museums check out the Legion of Honor.. I was there a couple weeks ago and they have some

unbelievably jeweled Cartier watches and some Tiffany watches on display there...very old and just amazing

with rubies and diamonds, literally works of art.. :D

Exactly! yesterday sucked, but today :) me and my wife went to Monterey bay and the weather was awesome... except for the breeze (really really strong)... still the sand felt nice and spent some quality time off ^^

The watch that is coming to me is a cheapo PVD from Trevor, I am planning to swap out the case to DSN's - as soon as he response to my e-mail  The dial looked really good from Trevor's pictures, so I am psyched... he also sent some pen... I was hoping I would get them today, but I guess SJ PO doesn't deliver sundays hmm... EMS usually works 365 days a year everywhere else.

Wristshot will be coming sir! and some pics of the beach as well... it was gorgeus :)

@cybee: Saw the jewelry stuff! Gorgeous! Man, someone should just plan a burglary there. some of them diamond rocks... BIG. and wow, it was cool seeing some old Cartier & Tiffany jewelry/watches.

@Joe: hopefully it comes in monday! regardless, it's always nice getting something new on the doorstep :)
