I love my Endurance Pro from OF, but....

Hi all,

I love my Endurance Pro, I've owned a couple of gens, and the OF factory version is so good. It's been my daily watch now for a year and it has never missed a beat. However, the rubber / plastic strap is a nightmare. And it's started to stink... So my question is whether gen straps fit, and if not, any recommendations? I've only focued on the actual watches on here, and never really dug into replacement straps... Thanks again!

Hello! Unowing that you already had a few Breitling gens how do you compare the quality of the sapphire of this OF versions in terms
Of AR coating and clarity compared to the gen?

Personal opinion is that you have to look very closely to see a difference. I've had both side by side, and the gen might be slightly less perfect than the gen in terms of the sapphire, but we're talking ultra fine margins. The main difference really is the quality of strap, and the colours are marginally different - but again you'll only notice that if you had gen on the same wrist at the same time, and someone really looked...

That's not necessarily true as the font is off on most of the reps.

I guess so, but this is just my view, you have to look to see it... I can only go off my perception I guess!

Breitling Rubber straps are suprisingly cheap compared to other brands, i was pleasantly surprised

With a Gen Strap, it is definitely NWBIG...i understand the small sapphire differences, but they're really tiny and impecetible details imho.

I just received two Breitling rubber straps bought from Breitling online (85 USD each- at my door in 48 hours)- here is the black one side by side with an OF strap:
(gen always on the right- the bent ones obviously have been used on an OF Endurance Pro)

Given that the OF models have been worn and have a nice wrist hugging shape to them and I am sure the genuine models will soon follow suit- I see very little difference between the two. Casting marks can be seen on the edges of the OF that are not on the genuine- but as far as flexibility and feel I see no discernable difference.

But maybe my wife is right and I am just not very sensitive.....

and yes, after looking at these photos i stuck the OF ones in my ultrasonic cleaner...

Totally agree that the Gen rubber strap is far superior to the OF supplied strap. The font is close on the rep but not exactly accurate.
IMO the significant upgrade is in the quality of the rubber itself. More supple and more flexible, especially noticed when manipulating the buckle tang when attaching or unattaching the watch. For $85. It is a bargain upgrade.

---> A question for other owners of the OF factory Breitling Endurance, and any Gen owners as well.
I was just this morning adjusting the watch back to Standard time from DST.
When pushed back to time keeping position, I am noticing a gap between where the stem and crown fits against the watch body.
I am not sure if I noticed this when I originally received the watch but it has been so accurate, I haven't needed to fiddle with the time settings much.
Attaching a few photos to show what I refer to.
Was curious if this is unique to my example or are all of them like this?
And is it the same on the gen Breitling?
Please chime in.
Thanks!
ps I do love my OF Endurance
