I have a question about the navitimer.

So I realize that the only way not to have a recessed date wheel is to have the 6,9,12 config...

That is fine by me accept I want the navi to have a polished case and the most accurate one being offered like that is the "Series Special." Only problem is that the Series Special, is supposed to have a brushed case, which is not good for me...

Now are there any newer 6,9,12 navis that have a polished case and are accurate as well? Basically a Navi dial without the "series special" written above the 6 o'clock dial.

Yea, after seeing Andrew's pick of his white Navi on the gen black strap, I want one too now!

no! But the SS comes polished.. so just leave it!

The Navis available come with the polished case as piratedzeus said. If you wanted it brushed you would have to brush it.

no I want it polished... But the fact that it says "Series Special" makes it not accurate, no?

I want something that looks exactly like that, but doesn't say series special, unless there were some that came in an all-polished case... It seems like a pretty big tell to me.

There actually was a Genuine Series Special made. It had a brushed case and band. The current models available have a polished case and band. Below are a few shots of Genuine Series Speciale models I had from some previous research:
