Hello folks!

I shall start off by saying, I dislike Pams - :lolcina:

however, I'm always one for trying new things and would like to see what all the rage is with pams, as I know many of you have a HUGE collection full of them, different straps etc. - kudos to you, each to there own :)

So today I picked up two pams off the member to member section.

the 111v3 :

And a BEAUTIFUL DLC PAM 005M (the only real pam I like without having in my hand, and the strap is amazing :)) :

I am looking forward to them arriving so I can give them a good test drive and see if they suit me personally. If not I can always release but at least say I have tried the "experience" of Pams.

Regards
Fez

Hate is a strong word but I also find them very boring watches and get annoyed when they take up so much space on all the forums....but obviously a lot of people love them! That said, I would wear a Pam before I'd wear a Rolex simply because when people see a rolex on your wrist the first thing they would wonder is " is that a fake? " whereas the Pam fascination is probably something more specialized....Will be interested to see what your opinions are once you actually own a Pam, perhaps you need to own one to fully appreciate this watch?

Im not a fan of these 44mm and larger watches but I have owned two pams and they wear very well. I will say that once you wear one anything else in your collection will appear smaller. My SMP felt small and my Explorer I just felt dainty. Believe it or not, I sold both Pams because nothing else in my collection was getting worn.

I was like you, and I bought a PAM to try to get the fuzz.
I gave the watch to my brother.

Though, that DLC 005 sure is sexy.. Maybe I should give it another go..

I used to hate PAMs until I had my 111v2. It changed my mind. Now I have a 104i and 111v3. They still don't get as much wrist time as any of my other watches, but that doesn't make them any less awesome. Also, half of the fun of them is the custom straps.

I like Pams. Like.
But they mostly all look alike - well, they look like small (often I can't even spot) variations of 3 watches.
I will say that by hanging out on the rep forums you would think that Pams are the hottest brand going. On the gen forums I peruse, however, there is little mention of them.
But I have 2 and I really like them. I also have no desire for more.

I don´t like PAM so much, but I think that PAM is a different watch, I believe that is a "simple watch" but this is the most important and this makes that it has a big personality.
In my opinion, there isn´t other watch that it causes tanto both love and hate like PANERAI.
I only will buy one panerai, PAM 390, this is a beautiful watch.
I am sorry for my english...

I was the same as you until I ordered a PAM to try. The sandwich dials are bloody gorgeous in the flesh. No picture ever does them justice. The crystal kind of magnifies them and gives them a 3d effect.

 I can really see myself keeping the DLC 005, but the 111 will probably be going

will be more interesting to see how they wear on my wrist.

I felt this way originally. But they are actually very nice. The 44's don't interest me much. But the 47's and submersibles are quite nice.

If I don't like a brand of watches I never go into this brand Section
What happens with PAMs ? because there are at least four members here who declare they don't like PAMs. What are they looking for here?

I would never buy a brand that I don't like, in order to try if I don't like it definitely. Just I don't buy, period. Why people accept to try with a PAM?

Many people don't know if they like really PAMs, they don't UNDERSTAND PAMs but feel their strong attraction.

Many people say that all PAMs are the same but other have dozens. Would you buy dozens of the same watch?

Many people no liking PAms buy a PAM, and then curiously they can't stop

Many people say: I don't like PAMs... all them are the same... I only like the PAM XXX. Why? if all them are the same you cannot like only one of them.

This the MAGIC and paradox of PAM.

ALE

My paradox:
I love PAMs ... and I hate PAMs because I need one hour everyday to update the PAM GUIDE... LOL

The parallels are there.

I had this discussion with trailboss in the tits thread.

I, for one LOVE fake tits. I think they're possibly the greatest thing since controlled electron flow. Some guys prefer Gens.....or dudes.....whatever. Me, I like my titties high and firm.

Everyone gotta stop posting these Pam threads. They are not a "fad" nor "all the same" just like the sweet sweater meat I so adore.
