I ordered a PAM 240 Ti from Davidsen (DSN) back in October and promptly paid US$320. Originally asked him to send to me in Singapore but later I made plans to visit Canton Fair so requested him to send watch to my engineer who was stationed in Shenzhen instead. Somehow Davidsen screwed up and mailed watch to HKG to be couriered to Singapore. Luckily we caught that in time and he promised to send a similar 240 Ti watch to Shenzhen instead.

The watch arrived Shenzhen on the same day my engineer & I returned from Canton Fair. His neighbor's kid sign for the package an hour earlier and upon arrival we opened the box together. Instead of the 240 Ti I found a very bad copy of the Arktos! I immediately emailed Davidsen and also called the person listed on the courier slip to register my complaints.

To cut a long story short, after many exchanges via emails and phone calls (to the person who's name and contact was on the shippng doc), they accused me of trying to scam them. As I can speak Chinese I requested Davidsen to call me directly to find a solution but he never did. To avoid misunderstanding I even wrote to him in Chinese but somehow he always reply in broken English...?!?!

This is my 1st deal in buying from a so-called "reputable" dealer and it has been a nightmare for me... Imagine I flew thousand of miles to scam him! I know there's not much I can do to recover my investment but I just had to warn you guys... beware of DSN!

Do you have the letters he wrote to you or emails? scan them and post them here to back up your story, it would help you a lot.

I bought a watch from DSN recently and everything was fine. This was second purchase from a recommended dealer and first time sending money overseas. He always responded to my emails even though it would take around a day for him to respond back. He sent the watch from HK to the US and it only took 2 days to arrive. I bought a 176 and it was exactly as pictured in his email. The lume was a little off but I had Vac fix that.

So I take it you sent the watch back to him? I would think after seeing the watch himself he would know if it was his or not.

I've bought 3 from Davidsen and had no problem--though my 189 replacement is en route as I write this. I had to send the first one back because of movement problems. Davidsen responded very well.

I've dealt with DSN quite a few times and he's been always delivered. He stands behind his work as well. Could the watch have been switched somewhere? Anyways, sorry to hear about your bad experience.

You haven't been scammed, Davidsen is a stand up dealer, contact an Admin about this issue, they'll help you resolve it. :)

Sorry to hear about this issue, Davidsen has its up and downs it seems, but he always comes through so have faith. :)

i have been buying many watches from Davidsen.

i mean many. they always arrived fast. always got the watch i wanted. if there was a problem....he fixed it. fast and uncomplicated.

no way he is scaming....i dont want to say your story is a lie. but hey....DVSN would hurt himself and destroy his future client relation.

something else must have went wrong.

Bullshit.

Davidsen has done THOUSANDS of watches for members here- 20 for me personally.

he does not even make an Arktos rep, so your story MUST be false.

Your story has lots of moving parts and many holes...

My money is on David...

I ordered the exact PAM 240, and my first one had a bad movement which was sent back and in two weeks I had a replacement with a free divers strap with a new deployment clasp. How many scammers do that?

Yes, his English needs a little polish, but he's a square, upfront dealer. Even when I haven't bought anything, he's supplied me with the info I needed to make an intelligent decision.

My next rep will come from DSN with no worries, I call Shenaggins on this one!
