This is especially upsetting because this sample had a perfect Cyclops. Any recommendations on who to buy a replacement sapphire crystal of equal quality from?

Oh man I feel for you that sucks! Good luck! Did you get this from a TD? They may be able to help you.

Oops! That's gotta suck. Being really careful with my watches, if it were me in your shoes, I'd have been bummed out. If the movement hasn't been damaged meaning is accurate and all that, keep the watch and change the crystal, Check with DSN or eBay, if the movement is not accurate and some things may need servicing or even replacement. Part out the watch and either keep the spare parts or sell the parts to make you close enough money to afford a new one ;)

The crystals on eBay are approaching $200 in price, at least for the ones that look like decent quality. At that price I'm wondering if it makes more sense to just fork out an extra $100 and get a whole new watch and have an extra spare case set, movement and strap instead of just a crystal.

I'd first try with my TD for a noob crystal (unlikely but worth a try), then I'd check with DSN, he surely has it and way cheaper than 200 usd.

A TD was able to get me a replacement crystal at a very reasonable price. Only problem is he can't get the gasket for it. Any ideas on where to get a gasket? Already tried eBay.

Gaskets are quite hard to find. I had more than a headache sourcing a bezel gasket for one of my casesets. Can you use the old gasket you already have?
