the big needle
Have you wound the watch fully?
When wound fully, set the time and screw in the crown in.
One of the subdials should begin moving. That is the seconds hand.
I'm not 100% familiar with gold Daytonas, but is this a 4130 movement or 7750? Link to watch?
If a 4130, the big needle and some of the dials will work, when you engage the chrono.
If a 7750, 2 of your subdials will likely be fake.
And that's the extent of my Daytona/watch knowledge.

The large hand currently set at the 12 o’clock position is the chronograph seconds hand. That will not move unless it is activated by the smaller button at 2’oclock.
The top pusher starts the chronograph, which is when the longer seconds hand at 12 will begin to move. You need to push it again to stop the longer seconds hand.
I'm tagging @domiffm in on this one to explain chrono and the big needle (that's the new technical term btw )
It happens to the best of us.its working thanks to all ...im stupid
The top pusher starts the chronograph, which is when the longer seconds hand at 12 will begin to move. You need to push it again to stop the longer seconds hand.
The bottom pusher resets the chrono seconds hand back to 12.
The subdial at 6 is your seconds hand for the actual time of day. The subdials at 9 and 3 are fake, and won't move.
THIS - ALL DAY LONG THISJust a heads up, don't use the chrono function too much. The 7750 is a fragile movement.
