So much for 'noob factory 1:1 clone perfect copy blah blah blah....bought a marina logo pam 005 with supposedly a 6834 unitas based movement "which is exact copy/ interchangeable parts with original/ swan neck regulator/ 17 jewel high beat" etc...well,this "latest noob release" loses 2 hours a day before stopping, about 7 hours after full wind. If these copies are supposed to be exact replicas of the real thing, you would think that means a 56 hour reserve like the original...at least a full 24 hours, but needing to wind 3-4 times a day??? I'm afraid to have the back opened up and see what's really inside.

It looks ok, except for the crooked 'panerai' on the face, and the lever shape is way off. Is this typical of noob??? Or did kuvarsit just lie and sell me a $50 piece of crap in place of a more expensive one?? Do i stay away from anything noob? From kuvarsit? Both? They are both recommended on this site many times over, and the noob watches get high reviews, so what am i to think??? Am i expecting too much for $300-$400???

Somebody please school me on this as i'm new to replicas and trusted what i read on RWI.

Did you asked for QC photos? You should have noticed the crooked Panerai and wrong lever shape at the time.

Regarding the movement it seems that you got a bad one. Hundreds of users have the same movement with no problems at all. I would suggest you to contact the dealer and handle the situation with him. I'm sure they will come up with a solution.

Good luck

It sucks to have a bad experience right out of the gate. But it's part of the hobby. Hopefully, kW will take care of you, but they aren't a trusted dealer here. Noob watches have a good reputation, but no replica is perfect. You are dealing with a chain of suppliers and factories. Thinking of noob maker as a single entity is misguided. All of the TDs offer QC pics so you can examine prior to accepting the watch.

Mind posting pics so we can see the bad cg etc?

I can understand your frustration. However, keep in mind a few things---

1. There is no 1:1 rep. They don't exist. All reps have flaws.
2. The incorrect crown guard lever shape is a known issue with Noobs. It's the wrong shape.
3. Not sure about your crooked logo. Did they send you some QC pics? If not, did you ask for them? Can you post a picture of your watch?
4. The movement will not have the same power reserve as the gen movement. You should get at least a 40ish hour reserve though. It's a pretty simple and robust movement. Sounds like you may have just received a bad one. You can send it back to KW or have it serviced locally....Katt could probably fix it up for you.

You've been here for a bit of time. Sometimes things aren't perfect with a rep watch like we would want them to be...
Hope this all works out for you.

Also, you do know there is a scam site pretending to be kuvarsit, right? The market price right now for a noob 005 should be about $250, not $300-400. Sounds fishy.

I think you should first post pics of the watch you received, showing the flaws. The eagle eyed community would be able to point if its indeed a noob watch or something else.

Next, you can then decide if you wanna service it on your own or return to the TD. Make sure its indeed kw and not the "scam site" as mentioned above.

Good luck

If you got a bad 6497, your luck probably went low that day.

Maybe also post a link of where you got the watch from and see if it's the real Kuvarsit website.

In my 2+ years of of reps I've found noob to make some of the best reps out out there. There are always going to be problem ones though. You need to give a few more details as others have said.

please let us see the pics how crooked the dial print is and yes like all other members say you have very bad luck with A6497 movement because usually they are know to be very strong and reliable.

Kurvasit isn't a TD here, they lost their TD status on repgeek as well. and yes there is a site which is impersonating them as well.
Tbh I have found kurvasit overpriced compared to other TDs.
We need more details and photos.
The asian 6497-2 should have 50+ hours power reserve. The 6497-1 (low beat) is the one with 40 hours power reserve. Anyway looks like you got a bad movement. This does happen unfortunately but the dealer you got it from should sort it out. Unless it's the scam site...

i would have thought the low beat would have a longer reserve... becuase it uses less energy to move the hands.. live and learn.. but sorry for the bad purchase..

I've been buying reps from trusted dealers for over 10 years. It's part of the game that you get a bad watch now and then. I can say that I have never gotten a bad Asian hand wind movement.....ever. Certainly some bad Asian 7750s but my track record is pretty good. That's dozens and dozens of rep watches over the years. Your first mistake was not buying from a trusted dealer. However Kuvarsit is trusted on other forums and I would not be afraid to buy from them. With all these web sites you will find clone websites that are formed to scam so you need to be sure you are buying from who you think you are buying from. Bottom line check the web address and be sure it's the real Kuvarsit site. If it is contact them, send the watch back, and they will send you a better example.
