Hublot Gen vs Rep Clasp Comparison (Pic Heavy)

I just had a look at some of my Hublot clasps gen and rep and want to my impressions and pictures with you.


I have for you:
V6 Clasp from my Ice Bang V6
V1 or V1.5 from my Ice Bang V1 or 1.5
Gen Hublot Clasp from my Full Carbon


Disclaimer to the version numbers of these clasps. I got them of my watches that I bought from m2m so the version numbers could be wrong.


For me the biggest difference is the color and the feel.


The Gen uses Ceramic and Steel with a mate finish on this version which looks totally different from the shiny rep finish


The V1 and the gen are really close.


The V6 version is way off. Its longer size wise which will make it fit better or less well.
It is also missing the inscription Ceramic and Steel, the hole in the middle is not well made, many many differences.


The gen is a little more comfortable because of rounded corners and better fit but I wear the V1 all the time as well and it is really good as well.


I dont wear the V6 anymore but mostly because I got a gen clasp and it wasn't opening nicely. The biggest change in comfort was not exchanging the clasp but going from rep strap to gen strap that was so much more comfortable.

You can absolutely find gen clasps on ebay dude.

Gen clasps can be brought separately and vary in price but 300-500€ will be normal with an AD.

No worries. It's actually a comfort thing as well for me. Those closer to gen fit so much better on my wrist

Got myself a replacement clasp from Israel dealer as well.. overall quality is fine. Both screws are functional which is a nice thing compare to V1 clasp.
