Today my gen strap and clasp arrived !! I never thought that the difference could be so huge. As you will see in the pics the colour is slightly darker. I don't know if it is visible in the pics but you can directly see that it is softer and smoother than the rep strap. It is not as stiff as the rep strap. And now on the wrist it is a world of difference ! I can wear it with one more hole than the rep strap and it feels perfect.

The gen clasp is also amazing and a huge difference to the rep clasp. First difference is the engraving, it is so clean and precise. The rep one is good but gen is way better. My rep clasp was a little bit lose but the gen is tight and you feel the quality. You already feel the difference when opening the clasp !

For changing the strap you just need to unscrew the two h-screws on the lugs.

For changing the clasp it is not necessary to unscrew the h-screws on the clasp. You need to take out the little stick that holds the strap in place. You can release this stick with your thumbnail as it is a feather stick. You also need it for the gen strap.

I thought it was much more difficult but it is no big deal.

Now enjoy the pics:

Wow! Nice looking clasp! If you do not mind: where did you get it? how much is one of those?

Nice! This comparison is definitely an asset with all the "is this gen?" posts regarding Hublot straps/buckles.

It can be so hard to make a call sometimes when they're so similar, but this helps.

Damn... It does look good... But for £200 for the strap and £400 for the clasp... Im not so sure it's that great I mean I could buy two more reps for that money!

Nonetheless that's just my own opinion. Congrats on getting your own gen clasp and strap! Wear the watch in good health!

I got it from watchparts24.com

But the clasp is not listet in the shop so you can write them an email. They send you price and delivery time.

Strap was 229€ and clasp 439€.

Of course this is much money but this big bang is my favorite watch ever. I have some watches and I've seen so many but no watch does catch my passion for a watch like this one. All the different watches I have are like a journey to the perfect watch, the perfect kind of watch, and the perfect design and look. If I had to chose one it would be the steel ceramic. I still have some plans for another two or three reps but If one day I have enough money I will walk into a hublot store and buy this awesome piece of art.

And because of that I decided to buy a gen strap and clasp and for those who feel like me I can highly recommend the parts. But as nexezz says it is a point of opinion.

Thank you all for your gratulations !!!

Definitely two great gen parts that improve the overall experience but If I had to spend that kind of money I would go for Swiss movement first. These would be great final touch instead. Don't get me wrong, still great acquisition at relatively good price :)

Do you know where to get such a movement ? How do I know which movement fits in the big bang ?

You can ask a modder to source one for you. I believe one was recently sold by @Marius13 with a Chopard 7753 modded to fit his Hublot BB SS Ceramic. He asked Domi to source it for him I believe, hopefully he can confirm.

Contact Domi , he's the top of the game, he will suggest the best movement for your watch, but i think that any 7750 or 7753 can be adapted to fit the Hublot layout ( tricompax )

Very accurate my friend. Watch already sold to another member here , waiting to put gen dial and hands on it. Can't wait to see that ...

Thanks for the write up. I see the shape of the gen clasp is more rounded to the wrist on the profile pic. Does it for more comfortable that the rep clasp that still cut into our wrists? Thanks!

He does all the work, swap and modding, just contact him and then send the watch. Not comfortable to mention prices here and there. Don't think it would be fair. Better get an estimated value by them ;)

It is a world of difference and for me it is perfect :) if you wear it as tight as I do you still have some marks but I think every watch or clasp does that. But you don't have that feeling of sharp edges digging into your skin so I can say it is much more comfortable than the rep clasp ! :)
