I shall start of by saying that I, Like you, Have never had a hublot before or even really studied them.

However,

Does all the cut outs on the dial, subdials etc look a little bit shitty or is it just me?
And the top screw.

I would also like to add that puretime is a really good guy and a honest dealer!

I am just being picky here as I imagine that is what the dial is like due to the material it is made out of? I would also be interesting to know - get educated - by you hubgeeks!

Holy Crap Fez! you have a very good eye sir, i didnt even notice that lol
now that you pointed that out, i took a look at a few other members' QC pics and it seems like the cut out for the CF are shitty too, you would think they have a wheel or some tool to cut precisely. i will send an email to Pure Time and see what they say and use your picture with all the things pointed out (if you dont mind ofcourse)

Nearly all CF dials from the V6 factory have slightly rough dial cut outs. When you're wearing the watch in person you won't be able to notice it however.

The back looks fine to me. Personally I like the stainless steel version of this watch from the V6 factory as there is no problem with the dial as it does not use CF.

However, like I said before this is still a nice watch and when you're wearing it you will not be able to notice these minor flaws in the dial cutouts. You can perhaps ask Angus if he has a slightly better one, but I doubt there will be much difference at all with the new watch compared to this one.

I know from personal experience cutting CF is a REAL pain in the ass.

as everyone else mentioned, you wont be able to see it when its on the wrist, but maybe one of our modders can do something about it?

I imagine a very very fine grit sanding to creative the circular curve will be the only way.
Its the weave of the CF and it DOESNT cut like metal or paper.

Info taking from a articul on how to "finish" CF.
To get a really top quality edge to the cut the secret is simple; apply a light automotive wax to the edge and buff away, this will also seal the edge from water ingres.
If you are feeling brave you can apply cyanoacrylate (super glue) to the edge instead of wax but be warned; this can result in making the edge look terrible if not done very neatly. Apply it with a piece of cloth and try not to stick yourself to it! After the glue has cured it will need a light sanding and polish/wax.
One perfectly trimmed part!

The newer H factory models have perfect CF dials, much cleaner cut out and deeper like the genuine. The problem is the movement is nowhere near as nice as the v6 models.

Here are a few examples of the rose gold version, there is also a stainless steel version available.

Yeah, the H fact's HBB Evos have better CF dials and big chrono seconds hand. Unfortunately they won't sell the parts separately, unlike V6 factory.

The V6 is better though overall and it's true that you won't see the cutout in normal distance. Upon close inspection, I just realised that mine is not perfect either. :)

That CF dial looks like a kid cut it out and stuck it on with a glue stick. I LITERALLY just ordered this watch as well a few days ago, didn't get any QC pics yet but when I do if they look like that I will have to ask about it, I will also post. Also the back should indeed say Big Bang and not Geneve.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Yes I understand that pictures of it close up looks far worse that what it will look like in person, but since this is my first purchase I just want to be sure as I was already once ripped off my a non TD :(
I looked at a few other pics and the back should say hublot Big Bang and not geneve. I have sent an email with both issues so we shall see why they say.

Now would it be too much to ask for if I wanted to not accept this watch and ask for the black face instead of the carbon? Is that possible or would pure time not be ok with switching?

hmm, i guess the best would be hybrid of both watches just like what many did between a Noob and H-factory PAMs.

dial & hands from H-factory
everything else from v6 Factory

I don't want to take away from the discussion regarding these watches, because it is something that interests me greatly, but regarding the following post:

Please don't take offense, because it's clear that you're trying to help, but this entire post is not good form. It's obvious that you took time to do this, but the placement is not ideal.

This is NOT the purpose of QC pics. If you're going to dissect a rep like this, buy the gen.

If the dealers see posts like this one, they will flat out stop doing QC pics. Full stop.

Many of us remember a time, not so long ago when we would order, then hope that the TD shipped the correct watch. I once ordered an Omega and received a Submariner, not even close. Other times, the wrong PAM arrived (111 versus 112). It was a semi-common occurrence.

The point of QC pics is primarily to verify that it's the correct watch (V1 vs V6), not to dissect flaws.

With all due respect, the OP should have researched and compared the V6 versus the H-factory before placing the order. At the very least initiated a similar conversation such as this one now. The marked up photo above is fantastic and quite helpful, It's just not a good idea to do in a QC thread.....

Question to the OP.....

Did you reject the watch based on this thread?

Because it looks like you were getting the watch that you ordered, and had very little basis on which to reject it?

That's the answer, IMHO.

Bomba, i agree and respect your opinion 100% and my intentions are just to get a good item that i paid good money for. i did not reject the watch i just simply replied asking about those cutouts and the back case not being whats advertised on their site and i believe i do have the right to question those concerns espeically the back case as its not the one they show in the pics. as for the cutout circles i have compared a few watches of members' qc pics and this by far looks like the worst cutout of the compared few. i know PT is a TD and i have 100% faith they will have a good solution for both of us. im not looking for my money back or anything i just want a watch that looks good :):maty:

We are all in the same boat. We all want to get the best watch we can for our money. But the purpose of QC pics is for you to review. Not to post this...

if you guys see any flaws please let me know and i would greatly appreciate it
