How well does the GMT function work, in your exp ?

Pam gurus !
I own a 177 (really love the titanium case!!) and am seriously considering getting an 089. Another titanium case, plus really like the look of the skeleton hands, the anthractite dial and the added GMT function (I have family in Asia, so will come in handy when estimating time zones)

1. How well does the GMT function work on these pam reps, in your experience ? Any issues you've heard of ?
Last thing I'd want is to have this function die on me, and be left with one useless hand on the dial.

A rep GMT usually works differently from gen right?

I have a gen rolex gmt and had a rep rolex gmt but I don't remember how the rep gmt complication worked.
I think u adjusted the gmt hand differently though because I don't remember it clicking like the gen does.

Quick change of hour hand is really handy for traveling. I don't think gmt without that would be useful.

replication of GMT complication in A7750-based reps is like per gen - works flawlessly. So 089, 088, 297 etc. - these reps will work as per gen.
GMT complication based on A2836-and-likes is more of a "hack" than GMT module replication - it is not as per gen and has some quality problems.

Confirmed- movement/ GMT on my 089 works perfect!
I really like the hands on the 088/ 089 etc
