Hi guys,
I dropped a Gen 104 on the floor and now its not working. (every attempt to wind it just turns the hands and when I close the crown - the minute hand goes back to some random number).

Now should I ship it to a Panerai authorized repair center or would a third-party person/company work? What is your advice?

Thanks very much

If it's gen, send it to an authorized repair center. That will be the most legitimate service, and if you ever plan to resell, will probably look the best to potential buyers

Yeah, i put it away for now. I was mainly asking it for the price - since not so long ago I don't like AD prices either (had to deal with Hublot once, paid $70 for a rubber pusher that can be bought on ebay for like $15).
But I am not sure if a third-party watchmaker will be familiar with the PAM and have access to gen parts.

The PAM104 uses an OPIII which is a slightly modified ETA 7750 movement. Taking it to a professional is no harm. Just my 2 cents, I only use AD repairs on my gens if its under warranty.
