Hi to all
These two fantastic models are going to be tough to rep. I think the 614 is nicer than the 305 and the 615 nicer than the 389, at least more updated, and in the flesh they are absolutely stunning.
Both could be repped with the usual A7750 or the seagull st2555 with fake @8 & @10 pushers and fake chrono second hand.(no flyback function of course) They would never be considered super reps, but with the actual quality construction, they would deserve first class rep. I think there is no way to make functional the chrono funtion with the A7750 with pushers in @8 & 1@10 position
But there is an old breitling model that caught my attention and could be used to rep the 614 & 615 models with chrono function. I am refering to the Breitling chronomatic 44mm that used the lemania manual winding with fully functional chrono and inverted crown at @9, like this
http://www.2015asian.com/product_show.asp?P_id=906
Rotating 180 we could get the same layoff that the 614&615, with seconds hand at @9
As these models have closed casebacks, no problem with showing an incorrect heart.
The problem would be with the date in the model 614, impossible to get with the Lemania, but with the 615 the @3 chrono should be used, instead for hours, for minutes (12 minutes per round)
So the best way to replicate would be
- for the 614, an A7750 or Seagull with date and no chrono function and fake pushers and
- for the 615, the modified Lemania with chrono function
What do you think guys?
