How to remove crystal of PAM ?

Hi,

Can anyone help me with the trick to remove crystal of PAMs ?
Searched some forums but can't find one for PAM specific.

Preferably by hand/everyday available tool. Buying a crystal press would be my last option.

My plan is to remove them, and try to bring it to local Essilor lab and ask them to do AR coating on it

Once your movement is uncased find a PVC coupling at the hardware store that fits inside that's just a hair smaller than the case. I think a 1/2 coupling is perfect if I remember. Then just tap it out with a hammer.

Voila, 30 cent tool.

The only way to remove the crystal is by tapping the crystal out from inside, right?
I read somewhere if I have crystal press, I just need to "push the crystals in" from outside and it will pops out..

yes inside out ....anyway you still need a crystal to put it back which imho is best to ensure the crystal sits well into the case .. careful not to damage the white colour crystal gasket .. you may have a hard time finding a replacement without trial and error on the sizing ..
