Ok I would like some help. Just got a cheap BB Red from DH Gate and the minute hand is bent. So how do I remove the movement and bend down the hand?
All help will appreciated.

Were you laying in bed when you took this? Anyhow that watch has bigger issues than a bent hand.....

You may as well just Google to find the answer. There’s umpteen guides to removing a movement and hands on the forums and on YouTube - it’s relatively straightforward but better to follow a pictorial or video guide.

Of course, when I say straightforward, that’s supposing you have the tools and confidence to:
  • Remove the caseback
  • Remove the crown/stem
  • Remove the movement tabs and drop the movement out
  • Remove the hands
  • Flatten the minute hand (this should be the easy bit)
  • Put it all back together again
Removing and replacing the hands was a nightmare the first couple of times I tried it, and I broke two second hand pinions on 2813 movements because they’re about the thickness of a hair.

But, playing with watches is fun... enjoy!

Assuming you can do all the other things in the post above, you can straighten the hand without removing it.

Move the hand so it's by itself
Place a dial protector between the dial and the hand
Put a toothpick under the hand where you need to bend it
With a clean latex glove or finger cot, gently bend the hand down toward the dial
Use only as much force as necessary to make the hand straight and don't crease it

You only need some nice toothpicks and a small screw driver.

Use duct tape to remove the caseback.

Pull the crown and stem out. Press the release to remove the crown and stem. (Use a metal pick or a toothpick)

Remove the two movement screws and tabs.

Put a price of tag board under the watch and lift the case off the movement. Keep the case clean. Keep the opening facing down.

Don’t remove the hand from the movement. Use one toothpick for the bend point near the center arbor and use another toothpick to press down on the end of the hand to bent it straight.

Get it close enough/ better than what it is and then drop the case back down on top of it. And realign the dial and follow steps in reverse.

Then stop looking at it for flaws.

Not worried about flaws. But the watch stops running when the hands line up.
Thanks for your input.

Second hand is touching minute hand.
