How to Pay a TD (Noob question)

I've been searching high and low for a more in-depth answer on this. I understand that most (all?) TDs prefer a credit card, WU, or BTC transaction of some sort, and on fewer occasions offer alternate forms of payment I previously never heard of and don't understand. You're probably wondering what my question is. The gist of it more revolves around how to best protect yourself if using a credit card. Do prepaid Visa gift cards work since they operate like a credit card? Or do you just suck it up and risk sending your actual CC info? Is there a place that outlines the best process that and offers protection for both buyer and TD? I've heard of a few fraudulent credit card charges after buying from a TD....not necessarily the TD being fraudulent directly, but others who have access to the CC info that gets passed along (ie: card machine company).

I'm sorry if I'm thinking too hard on this, but just wanted to see other's opinions. Much appreciated!

Don't use a credit card. The Chinese system is horribly prone to CC detail leaks.

Use Wise or WU. Preferably Wise. It's the simplest and also the cheapest option.

Thank you for the info, gents. I don't have to pay with a credit card, but I was interpreting that it seemed like the most common way to pay, which seemed off...hence the question. If WU and Wise are the best, I'll look into those options with the TD. If there's anything else to consider, I'm all ears. Thank you!

If you make a bank transfer most TD’s offer a further 5% discount, we’re are you based ?

In the US. I’ve never used Wise, but unless I’m mis-interpreting their options, it looks like a bank transfer is an option.

I paid TDs through SEPA and burner CCs so far. I could also do Wise, Crypto or PayPal if needed.

But I would never use my real credit card though for that kind of transaction. Others have without problems. But I think they just got lucky as I've heard of quite the high chance of fraud, and that's not necessarily the TDs' fault, more the card processor's they have to outsource the payments to or through data leaks at those processors.

PS: By burner CC I'm referring to virtual cards with a number for one-time use only, not virtual cards for repeat transactions that are sometimes offered alongside single-use cards, as that could potentially carry the same risks as with your regular / physical card.
