How to fix a deployment clasp?

Hello everyone,

Not long ago (about 6 months) I ordered a special 297 with bracelet. However not only the quick strap change mechanism failed but the deployment clasp doesn't hold up too.

So I sent the watch back to my dealer, he fixed the quick strap change mechanism but didn't fix the clasp. Any ideas on how to easily fix the clasp so it won't open easily?

Thanks!

U need to post some pic and give more info. Just saying that it doesn't close really doesn't help much.

Is the clasp hold in place by the springs? If yes the springs may not have enough "tension" as it used to be. Unless you can change the spring else unfortunately I dont think there is any easy fix to these kind of clasp

You are right. One of the prongs that has to pop out when you close the clasp is completely in. I guess the best way is to replace that spring.

Any suggestions on how to do that?

Hmm, good luck on that one mate, it's gunna be tricky.

One thing, it's "deployant" not deployment. A deployment is something one sends one's army on, a deployant is a fancy clasp for a watch band.

Hahaha thanks Trailboss! English is not my first language, but I hope to find a way to fix this thing. The whole watch model (PAM 297 with an 89 dial) is to have the the damn bracelet. If not with a bracelet it becomes like an 88...
