how to convert a 3135 to 3130??

I have searched this site, ebay, and the web in general to no avail for a vs3130 to replace the crappy SA3130 in my no date sub. Apparently, the VS3130 movement isn't produced any longer.

However, the VS3135 is available and I have read it can be converted to a 3130.

I want the stem to pull out 2 spots and not have the non used date adjustment

If anyone could let me know what parts I need to do this conversion I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm not sure if the vr is compatible with gen parts... I thought the VS was the best version

What gen parts are you looking to add to the movement? The vr3135 takes gen parts pretty much the same as the vs3135.

you mean the vr3130? Right? if it will accept gen parts the I'll go that route.. for some reason I was under the impression it wouldn't. I know the SA movement that is in it won't be that great. I also know the VS movements are super smooth.. at least the one I have is.

I was going to slowly super franken it... auto module, complete balance, pallet fork, etc...

I actually have a franken 3130 that started as a VS3135 that might help you kickstart your adventure. Two positions, with a few gen parts in it. Happy to set up a reserved sale post or chat more if you’re thinking about it.

If you only want to do a barebone minimum conversion, remove all the date parts and replace the stock setting lever jumper (part 3135-230) to the 3130 version (part 3130-230).

I have done this mod before to convert a SH3135 into a no-date movement. This mod should also work on all VS/VR 3135 movements as well.
