LOL - homemade method I just thought of. Maybe not so much for the rubber but has anyone done this for the leather strap? Does it work?

I just take the strap and twist the tails inward in a tight spiral a few times. It distresses the leather, makes it arc, and gives it a "used" look.

or this.

+1 for boiling rubber straps. I do it on my g-shocks, and it makes a WORLD of difference. Plus, if you want the vanilla smell you can add a few drops of vanilla essential oil. I just add a little Aqua Di Gio in mine though. It helps the scent impregnate :screwed: the strap.

Hokay. I'm gonna boil it now. LOL. Let's see.

Er... I assume I don't boil the watch casing and movement yah. But technically it should work its been waterproofed to 30m.

Better not. Don't want to get arrested for '177 rep abuse'.

Ok, I've just finished boiling, seems softer. But yes, after a while of cooling the effect is less.

I've now applied a thick layer of Voltronic M40 rubber conditioner on it, and another gooey layer of baby oil and let it soak in. And its also now placed into a cup to encourage it to take its shape.

Maybe I'll pour some hot water in to give it some 'encouragement'. This is getting crazy or maybe I'm just too bored.
