Thinking of purchasing a panerai with a UNITAS-6497-2 movement. What is the power reserve on these and how reliable are they?
I know its not a guarantee that all chinese movements will be exactly the same, but for the ones Ive worked with, I have not had any problems(with one exception). All gears from escape to third wheel have always fit properly with the asian jewels. The only exception has been the center wheel, that needs a swiss jewel in the main plate. The jewel in the bridge is fine. Not all parts are 1:1 to the ETA Swiss parts. For example, the Swiss gears don't work very well with the Chinese jewels

I have 4 6497-2-based PAM reps.
All are very reliable, accurate and get 54 to 58.5 hours power reserve (I've tested them each 3 times).
